Simplify
[tex]-2x=26[/tex]

Divide
[tex] \frac{-2x}{-2} = \frac{26}{-2} [/tex]
[tex]x=-13[/tex]

To check your work, plug in the value of x you got back into the original equation
[tex]3(-13)-7=5(-13)+19[/tex]
[tex]-39-7=-63+19[/tex]
[tex]-46=-46[/tex]
