Animals usually migrate to find food and water. In Africa, due to the dramatic changes in weather, animals migrate frequently. In many cases, they have to travel long distances in order to maintain their access to adequate water and food, often following the rains. Recently, scientists found that some zebras migrate over 300 miles one way to find food and water - this is the longest documented migration of large mammals in Africa.
